Pray for Ethan!!

This is Ethan Bibb. He is the 8 year old son of Robin and Farris Bibb. Sunday he was taken to the Dr after having a stomach virus that he could not get rid of for a couple weeks. The Dr wanted to run more test, but his mom insisted that he go to Vanderbilt. Robin and Farris moved from Cross Plains to Cookeville in Jan so Farris could go to TN Tech. They brought Ethan to Vanderbilt where they did a scan of his head (because he had a headache and kept throwing up) and found a brain tumor.

They did surgery on Tuesday to remove the tumor but while they were in there they found several more spots on his brain, and from the looks of what they removed it is cancer. They have sent that off and will know in 10 days what kind and what stage it is in. Wednesday Ethan had an MRI so they could look at the spots they saw in surgery and the Drs. discovered it has masticized (sp?) to his spine. They think this is something Ethan has had for a while and are somewhat surprised that he has not had symptoms before. Ethan and his sister Lanna (his older sister)aren't aware of what they found yesterday. They will begin aggressive chemo treatments before the results come back.

Please join me in praying for this precious little boy and his family. Robin and Farris have several decisions to make over the next few days and as you can imagine they are overwhelmed. Please pray for peace and comfort for Ethan, strength for Robin and Farris, and pray that the Lord will wrap his arms around them. Pray that Satan have no control in the situation and that Ethan will make a full recovery. God CAN fix this.
